  This guide provides detailed instructions for using Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro). It includes initial setup instructions, information about the various parts of the application, and steps to complete common tasks.
- Overview
  Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro) is a web-based application that administrators use to distribute data to mobile devices that run Jeppesen and Boeing applications. Administrators log in to the application to manage their fleets. JDM Pro is provided as Application Service Provider (ASP) software, where Jeppesen hosts and maintains the application.

  - About content
    Jeppesen delivers content to Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro), and the application distributes that content to the distribution groups you assign it to. Your company can also create content and distribute it with Jeppesen content.

    The Content Detail dialog provides pertinent information about a content item.

    The content Version History box provides a list of current and previous versions of a content item.

    To deliver content to all devices in a distribution group, assign the content to the appropriate groups. You can assign the same content to more than one distribution group.

      You can assign content to a distribution group from the Content Detail box for any content item.

    If you no longer want to deliver certain content to devices in a distribution group, you can remove the content from the group.

    You can upload content to be distributed to devices. Before you can upload your content, package each item into a .zip file. Make sure that the size of the content ZIP file is less than 2 GB. Only include one content item in each .zip file.
  - About reviewing and approving content
    By default, Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro) sets all content items to be approved automatically. However, you can set any content item to be reviewed by personnel from your fleet.
  - Editing configuration file attributes
    You can edit the settings of any configuration file that you created, whether you generated the file with Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro) or uploaded a .zip file into the system.
  - Deleting a specific content version
    You can delete any content version that you import into Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro). When you first delete the content version, it's moved to the Content Trash page, where you can permanently delete it or restore it.
  - Deleting a specific content item
    To delete any content item that you import into Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro), delete all of its corresponding content versions.
  - Invalidating a specific content version
    You can invalidate content versions, regardless of publisher. You might invalidate a content version if the content has bad data or is corrupt. Invalidating the content version prevents the bad content from being delivered to devices.

    You can export the items in the Content list to a comma-separated value (CSV) file.

Assigning content to a distribution group from the Content Detail box

You can assign content to a distribution group from the Content Detail box for any content item.

Procedure

From the Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro) menu, select Content.
From the Content page, select the name of the content item that you want to assign to the distribution group.
JDM Pro displays the Content Detail box.

From the Assigned Distribution Groups list, select one or more distribution groups.
Select Save.
A dialog appears.
Select Ok.

Results

JDM Pro assigns the content to the distribution groups that you selected.
