- Introduction
  This guide provides detailed instructions for using Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro). It includes initial setup instructions, information about the various parts of the application, and steps to complete common tasks.
- Overview
  Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro) is a web-based application that administrators use to distribute data to mobile devices that run Jeppesen and Boeing applications. Administrators log in to the application to manage their fleets. JDM Pro is provided as Application Service Provider (ASP) software, where Jeppesen hosts and maintains the application.

  - About content
    Jeppesen delivers content to Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro), and the application distributes that content to the distribution groups you assign it to. Your company can also create content and distribute it with Jeppesen content.
  - About the Content Detail dialog
    The Content Detail dialog provides pertinent information about a content item.
  - About the content Version History box
    The content Version History box provides a list of current and previous versions of a content item.

    The Content Version Details dialog provides information about a particular version of content that helps you determine how it arrived at its current status.
  - About assigning content to distribution groups
    To deliver content to all devices in a distribution group, assign the content to the appropriate groups. You can assign the same content to more than one distribution group.
  - Removing content from distribution groups
    If you no longer want to deliver certain content to devices in a distribution group, you can remove the content from the group.
  - About uploading company content
    You can upload content to be distributed to devices. Before you can upload your content, package each item into a .zip file. Make sure that the size of the content ZIP file is less than 2 GB. Only include one content item in each .zip file.
  - About reviewing and approving content
    By default, Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro) sets all content items to be approved automatically. However, you can set any content item to be reviewed by personnel from your fleet.
  - About creating FliteDeck Pro configuration files
    Use Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro) to create configuration files for the mobile devices in your fleet. The files you create set the parameters and settings for the device and for FliteDeck Pro.
    - Setting configuration file attributes
      You can set your device and FliteDeck Pro configuration file attributes on the Content page.
    - Settings for the customer configuration file
      The Customer Configuration file becomes part of the FliteDeck Pro configuration of the device. The settings you control in this file are optional. That is, you can accept the default settings or customize the settings for your operation.
    - Editing configuration file attributes
      You can edit the settings of any configuration file that you created, whether you generated the file with Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro) or uploaded a .zip file into the system.
    - Creating a configuration file based on an existing file
      You can use a current configuration file to create a new one.
    - About locking or unlocking settings
      When you create or edit a FliteDeck Pro configuration file in Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro), you can lock or unlock certain settings.

      You can configure one or more AID providers for iOS devices on the Aircraft Interface Device (AID) page.
    - Configuring an Aircraft Interface Device (AID) provider for Windows devices
      You can configure only one AID provider for Windows devices on the Aircraft Interface Device (AID) page.
    - Configuring Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) providers
      You can configure one or more ADS-B providers on the ADS-B Device section.

    You can delete any content version that you import into Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro). When you first delete the content version, it's moved to the Content Trash page, where you can permanently delete it or restore it.
  - Deleting a specific content item
    To delete any content item that you import into Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro), delete all of its corresponding content versions.
  - Invalidating a specific content version
    You can invalidate content versions, regardless of publisher. You might invalidate a content version if the content has bad data or is corrupt. Invalidating the content version prevents the bad content from being delivered to devices.

    You can export the items in the Content list to a comma-separated value (CSV) file.

About creating FliteDeck Pro configuration files

Use Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro) to create configuration files for the mobile devices in your fleet. The files you create set the parameters and settings for the device and for FliteDeck Pro.

When you create a FliteDeck Pro configuration file, you set the following parameters:

Parameter	Description
Application Behavior	When you configure the Application Behavior parameters, you modify device settings, such as flight sharing. You also set if sleep mode is on or off.
Enroute	Configure the Enroute parameters to determine what pilots can see on their enroute map.
Profile View	With the Profile View setting, you can display the enroute profile view for your pilots.
Terminal Charts	Configure the Terminal Charts parameters to determine what pilots can see on their terminal charts.
Airport Moving Map	Configure the Airport Moving Map parameters to determine what pilots can see on their charts.
Weather	Configure the parameters for weather information.
Flight Efficiency	Configure parameters such as cost index (CI) that your pilots can use. For example, pilots use the recommended CI value to update the Flight Management System (FMS) to optimize their fuel versus time by adjusting speed.
Services	With the Services setting, you can configure the information necessary for pilots to access manuals, flight plans, and other devices.
Updates	Configure the Updates parameters to determine your data cycles.
Support	With the Support parameters, you can configure what information appears on the Help button in FliteDeck Pro.
Control	Configure the Control parameters to determine if pilots can remove data from FliteDeck Pro.
