Deleting devices

When you delete a device, the device is moved to the Device Trash, where you can restore it or permanently delete it.

About this task

When a device is in the Device Trash, it no longer appears in its assigned distribution group. However, Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro) keeps the details for all devices in the Device Trash, including registration credentials and distribution group information, until you permanently delete the record.

Deleting a device removes the association with the mobile device from JDM Pro. After you delete a device in JDM Pro, the mobile device can no longer communicate with JDM Pro. However, you can't use the same device name until you permanently delete it from the trash. After you delete the device permanently, the device name can be reused.

To send data to the same mobile device again, create a new device.

Devices in the Device Trash can't be registered, can't receive content, and aren't listed in any list filters.

Procedure
