  This guide provides detailed instructions for using Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro). It includes initial setup instructions, information about the various parts of the application, and steps to complete common tasks.
- Overview
  Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro) is a web-based application that administrators use to distribute data to mobile devices that run Jeppesen and Boeing applications, such as FliteDeck Pro. Administrators log in to the application to manage their fleets. JDM Pro is provided as Application Service Provider (ASP) software, where Jeppesen hosts and maintains the application.

  - About distribution groups
    You use distribution groups to organize your fleet. Each distribution group includes those devices that you assign to the group.
  - Viewing the distribution groups list
    The Distribution Groups page lists the distribution groups in your fleet.
    - Exporting the Distribution Groups list
      You can export the items in the Distribution Groups list to a comma-separated value (CSV) file.
  - Creating distribution groups
    You create distribution groups to represent each list of devices in your fleet. You assign content to distribution groups. Devices only receive content if they're assigned to a distribution group.
  - Editing distribution groups
    When you edit a distribution group, you can modify the name of the group or change the review group setting.
  - Adding devices to distribution groups
    You can manage the devices in a distribution group by adding or removing them as needed. You can assign a device to only one distribution group. If you add a device that belongs to another distribution group, Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro) removes the device from the existing group and adds it to the new group.
  - Removing devices from distribution groups
    You can remove a device from a distribution group. When you remove a device from a distribution group, you can leave the device unassigned or assign it to a different group.
  - Distribution group content management
    To deliver content to all devices in a distribution group, assign content to the group. You can assign the same content to more than one distribution group.
  - Setting a distribution group as a review group
    After you set up a distribution group, you can set it as a review group.
  - Deleting distribution groups
    You can delete distribution groups at any time. Deleting a distribution group doesn't delete the devices in the group nor the content associated with it.

Exporting the Distribution Groups list

You can export the items in the Distribution Groups list to a comma-separated value (CSV) file.

About this task

If you have any groups selected, Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro) only exports information for those selected groups. If you select the Select All checkbox, JDM Pro exports all items displayed in the list, even items not visible on the current screen.

Procedure

From the JDM Pro menu, select Distribution Groups.
Optional: Select the Show/Hide Columns button and select or clear columns.

Note: JDM Pro includes only the displayed columns on the page in the exported CSV.
Optional: Select and drag columns to arrange them in a preferred order.
The columns in the exported CSV file are arranged in the order that you arrange them in JDM Pro.
Select the distribution groups.
- To select all the distribution groups, select the checkbox at the top of the list.
- To select individual distribution groups, select the checkbox next to each distribution group.
Select and then select Export.

Depending on your browser, the file is either saved automatically, or you name and save the file.
