  This guide provides detailed instructions for using Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro). It includes initial setup instructions, information about the various parts of the application, and steps to complete common tasks.
- Overview
  Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro) is a web-based application that administrators use to distribute data to mobile devices that run Jeppesen and Boeing applications, such as FliteDeck Pro. Administrators log in to the application to manage their fleets. JDM Pro is provided as Application Service Provider (ASP) software, where Jeppesen hosts and maintains the application.

- Managing devices
- Managing distribution groups
  - About distribution groups
    You use distribution groups to organize your fleet. Each distribution group includes those devices that you assign to the group.
  - Viewing the distribution groups list
    The Distribution Groups page lists the distribution groups in your fleet.
  - Creating distribution groups
    You create distribution groups to represent each list of devices in your fleet. You assign content to distribution groups. Devices only receive content if they're assigned to a distribution group.
  - Editing distribution groups
    When you edit a distribution group, you can modify the name of the group or change the review group setting.
  - Adding devices to distribution groups
    You can manage the devices in a distribution group by adding or removing them as needed. You can assign a device to only one distribution group. If you add a device that belongs to another distribution group, Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro) removes the device from the existing group and adds it to the new group.
  - Removing devices from distribution groups
    You can remove a device from a distribution group. When you remove a device from a distribution group, you can leave the device unassigned or assign it to a different group.
  - Distribution group content management
    To deliver content to all devices in a distribution group, assign content to the group. You can assign the same content to more than one distribution group.
  - Setting a distribution group as a review group
    After you set up a distribution group, you can set it as a review group.
  - Deleting distribution groups
    You can delete distribution groups at any time. Deleting a distribution group doesn't delete the devices in the group nor the content associated with it.

Setting a distribution group as a review group

After you set up a distribution group, you can set it as a review group.

About this task

Devices in a review group are designated as reviewers of the content associated with the group. After you set up the groups, devices, and content, Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro) delivers any content that has a Pending Approval status to the review groups.

Procedure

From the JDM Pro menu, access the Distribution Groups page.
Select the name of a distribution group.

JDM Pro displays the distribution group Details dialog.
Select the This is a Review Group checkbox.
Select Save.

Results

JDM Pro sets the distribution group as a review group and designates any device assigned to the group as a reviewer. A check mark under the Review Group column shows that the distribution group is set as a review group.
