- Introduction
  This guide provides detailed instructions for using Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro). It includes initial setup instructions, information about the various parts of the application, and steps to complete common tasks.
- Overview
  Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro) is a web-based application that administrators use to distribute data to mobile devices that run Jeppesen and Boeing applications. Administrators log in to the application to manage their fleets. JDM Pro is provided as Application Service Provider (ASP) software, where Jeppesen hosts and maintains the application.
- Getting started
  Before you use Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro), familiarize yourself with the user interface.
  - Signing in to JDM Pro
    To sign in to Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro), you must have a valid user name and password.
  - Password management
    Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro) features a password management system that enhances security, simplifies changing your password, and resetting a forgotten password.
  - The JDM Pro Dashboard
    When you sign in, Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro) displays the Dashboard for your fleet. The color-coded data on the Dashboard provides a visual representation of the status of the devices, content, and distribution groups in your fleet.
    - Device Status
      The Device Status section in the upper left corner of the Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro) Dashboard shows crucial information about the devices in your fleet.
    - Mobile Fleet Status
      The Mobile Fleet Status section in the upper-right corner of the Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro) Dashboard shows the number of devices, content items, and distribution groups in your fleet.
    - Application and Content Status
      The Application and Content Status section of the Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro) Dashboard displays devices grouped by application version. Each card shows the number of devices with content in a particular state.
      - Filtering the Application and Content Status list
        You can select the applications that appear in the Application and Content Status list on the Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro) Dashboard.
    - Content Pending Approval
      The Content Pending Approval list on the Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro) Dashboard shows the content items that need approval before they can be distributed to devices.
    - Recently Published Content
      The Recently Published Content section of the Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro) Dashboard shows a list of content items that were published in the last 14 days.
  - About the JDM Pro menu
    Use the Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro) menu to navigate to the page you need.
  - About the Activity Log
    Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro) records a list of activities of Application Administrators in the Activity Log for 365 days.
  - About the Device Trash and Content Trash pages
    When you delete a device from the Devices page, the device is moved to the Device Trash. If you delete a content version from the View Version History box, the deleted information is moved to the Content Trash. From the trash, you can permanently delete the information or reinstate it.
  - Searching within JDM Pro
    To search for specific information within Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro), use the search bar at the top of each page. No search bar exists on the Dashboard page.
  - Creating a Trip Kit URL
    You can create a link for company personnel to access an online system called Trip Kit. You use Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro) to create a URL that company personnel use to access the Trip Kit app. Using the Trip Kit URL, pilots and dispatchers can create a PDF of the selected route.
  - Signing out of JDM Pro
    Signing out of Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro) returns you to the JDM Pro Log In page.

Application and Content Status

The Application and Content Status section of the Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro) Dashboard displays devices grouped by application version. Each card shows the number of devices with content in a particular state.

For each app shown on the Application and Content Status section, you can:

View the total number of devices on which the app is installed.
View the versions associated with the app.
Expand or collapse the app name to view the list of versions under the app.

Content status by app — FigureContent status by app

The number in the blue badge next to the name of the application shows how many devices have that specific application version installed. When you select the Installed button, Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro) shows the Devices page—filtered by the installed app version.

When you select a content status card, JDM Pro shows the Devices page—filtered by the content status and version of the installed app.

For each application, the Application and Content Status section shows the number of devices that have content in any of these five states:

Expired Content: The number of devices that have at least one content item that has expired.
Missing Content: The number of devices that are missing any version of an assigned content item. Selecting the card opens the Missing Content report.
Next Cycle Updates: The number of devices that have downloaded only valid, current content items, but also have new content waiting to be downloaded.
Unscheduled Updates: The number of devices that haven't downloaded the off-cycle content assigned to them. This number also includes devices that haven't downloaded content set to For Immediate Delivery.
Current: The number of devices that have downloaded the most recent content items that are assigned to it.
