Configuring Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) providers

You can configure one or more ADS-B providers on the ADS-B Device section.

About this task

For each ADS-B provider, you can configure the value of the network port. The default value of the FREE_FLIGHT network port is set to 4000.
Note: For help configuring the value of the network port for a specific ADS-B, contact your Jeppesen account manager.

Procedure

  1. From the Content page, select the configuration file that you want to edit.

  2. Select Edit.

  3. Go to Services > ADS-B Device.
  4. In the ADS-B Provider section, select an ADS-B provider.
    Important: FliteDeck Pro Windows doesn't support ADS-B devices.
    Select FREE_FLIGHT.
    The ADS-B provider Settings dialog appears.

    Note: The default value for FREE_FLIGHT is 4000.
  5. Enter the network port and select Continue.
    Note: For help configuring the values of the network port for a specific ADS-B, contact your Jeppesen account manager.
    The Edit Edit button button shows that the ADS-B provider is configured. A check mark shows that the ADS-B provider is included in the customer configuration file.

  6. Optional: To update the values for the configured ADS-B provider, select Edit Edit button.
  7. Optional: To exclude the configured ADS-B provider, clear the checkbox.
    Important: Clearing the checkbox also clears the values you configured in the ADS-B provider Settings dialog.
