Editing configuration file attributes

You can edit the settings of any configuration file that you created, whether you generated the file with Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro) or uploaded a .zip file into the system.

About this task

If you try to edit a configuration file you uploaded into JDM Pro, the system analyzes the .zip file. You can't edit the file if JDM Pro encounters any of the following errors:
  • The .zip file contains more than one file.
  • The .zip file contains a file that isn't an XML file.
  • The file in the .zip file isn't a configuration file.

If you edit a configuration file that you uploaded into JDM Pro and it contains invalid data, JDM Pro shows the default setting for those parameters. If the uploaded configuration file contains no data, JDM Pro uses the default settings for all parameters.

Note: For more information about which parameters to use with your versions of FliteDeck Pro and how the configuration appears in FliteDeck Pro, see the Managing Options topic in the FliteDeck Pro Administrator Guide.

Procedure

  1. Access the JDM Pro menu and select Content.

  6. When you have set all of your parameters, select Configuration Review.
  7. If necessary, update the metadata. If the Content Type and Title stays the same, you must update the version number so that it's higher than the previous version number.
  8. Select Continue.
The Configuration Review page appears, which includes the XML result.
