About device deactivation and reactivation
You can deactivate and reactivate devices by using the
menu on the Devices page. When you take a device out of service,
Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro) provides a more accurate look at the status of your
active fleet.
When you deactivate a device, JDM Pro shows the device as Inactive. The device maintains its registration credentials, and JDM Pro continues to track which content items the system expects to be loaded on the device. When you reactivate the device, current content is ready to be downloaded immediately.
You can reactivate devices on the Devices page, or users can reactivate them by checking for updates in one of their applications.
You can't deactivate a device with a status of Created or Inactive. If you try to reactivate a device that has any state other than Inactive, JDM Pro ignores the action.
