Deactivating devices

You might want to deactivate a device when the user is no longer actively flying, such as when the user goes on vacation.

About this task

When you deactivate a device, Jeppesen Distribution Manager Pro (JDM Pro) shows the device as Inactive. The device maintains its registration credentials. JDM Pro continues to track the content items that the system expects to be loaded on the device.
Important: You can't deactivate a device with a status of Created or Inactive.

Procedure

  1. From the JDM Pro menu, access the Devices page.
  2. From the Device Status menu, select Out of Contact or Registered.

    This action filters the list to show only devices in the Out of Contact or Registered status.

  3. Select the checkbox for the devices that you want to deactivate.

  4. Select the Kebab menu button and then select Deactivate.

    The Confirm Deactivate dialog appears.

  5. Select Deactivate.
    JDM Pro deactivates the devices and changes their status to Inactive.
    Devices are deactivated
